Steve Dintaman became the 7th Head Coach in Tartan Pride history in the fall of 2007. Dintaman finished his coaching career at Sinclair in 2020, following the suspension of the program.

In his thirteen seasons as Head Coach, Dintaman’s teams averaged over 40 wins a season and he sent over a hundred players onto four-year schools.  Eighty of those players moved on to play at the Division I level. Also in those years, Dintaman has coached sixty-one OCCAC All-Conference players, eighteen All-Region XII Tournament selections, eighteen All-Region XII players, fifty NJCAA Academic All-Americans, and six NJCAA All-American.

Before his tenure as Head Coach began, Dintaman served as an Assistant Coach for Mike Goldschmidt for three seasons. During those years he helped guide the Pride to a 125-41 record & served as the team's Recruiting Coordinator. Dintaman graduated from Sinclair in 2004 and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Dayton in 2006. In 2016, he received his Masters Degree from Ohio University in Coaching Education. At Sinclair, Dintaman was an OCCAC All-Conference Selection in the 2004 season.

In 2015, 2016, & 2018, Dintaman served as a Task Force Member for USA Baseball during the National Team Identification Series. He's also worked the USA Baseball West Championships as a Task Force Member in 2019, 2020 & 2021. Besides coaching, Dintaman is very active in the Dayton community.  List of activities have included: Buddy Walk, Light The Night Walk, Making Strides Walk, Reading With Tartans, Habitat For Humanity, & team blood donations at the Community Blood Center. Dintaman resides in Kettering with his wife Kristen and their daughters Harper Noelle (4) & Zoey Nicole (1).
